Garrison Brother’s Guadalupe Finished In a Port Cask Texas Straight Bourbon was first introduced in August 2021 as one of this renowned distillery’s newest iterations of refined bourbon.
Aged a minimum of 4 years in charred American white oak casks and finished for 2 years in tawny port casks imported from Portugal’s Douro Valley, this select bourbon was derived from 90 hand-picked barrels originally filled in 2016 and later dumped into twenty-six 59-gallon port casks in 2020. Bottled at 107 proof, The Guadalupe Port Cask Finished Bourbon was initially offered in a run of just 4,900 bottles across the US and is slated to be an ongoing release from Garrison Brother’s distillery. Aromatic hues of bush berries, juicy plums, and dark fruits greet the nose paired with a palate of cinnamon, chocolate, strawberries, and butter
